no idea. i'm not too pleased with this board being on UBB in general though. Not to mention how slow it is lately.

I've notied after you "upload" a new avatar, it seems like it takes a few minutes for it to show up!
But, yours seems to be corrupted or something!?!?

The old board was also on UBB. Hostboard is growing at an alarming rate. Here is the current plan:
Stage 1 - Port old system to new. The old system was extremely difficult to administer as many things were broken or broke things when used. This new system works 100% and takes 90% less time to manage. Not to mention many more features.
Stage 2 - An unheard of for UBB port to MySQL. I have 2 developers working for me. This should be a huge performance gain.
Stage 3 - A new dedicated server. The old one works very well just if we keep growing at this rate by next year it will not be able to handle the demands. This new server would be found very easily in a corporate data center.
Stage 4 - Continued development of the system. Lots of things still in the works!
All in all Hostboard is the only UBB system that does what it is doing. Not to mention one of the largest UBBs on the net. Regardless of package chosen (VB, Ikon, etc) there still would have been a tremendous amount of custom programming necessary. UBB was chosen for 2 main reasons. User familiarity. People do not like change typicaly and this was a clear change to make the system more professional looking while still maintaining a simular look and feel. The other was the ease of getting a developer who was willing to handle the task of duplicating the old system while also adding other features. I spoke to many developers as well as the companies that make other message board packages. Then I went back and spoke to Bettman to see where he invisioned Hostboard (he was also looking to do an update in the near future prior to his decision to sell it)
So there was no hastily made decisions and I am clearly aware of every issue and can assure you they are being worked on.
Then there are my complaints but no reason to voice them as they are more of a internal issues.

Yeah, let's hear the complaints. I also may be able to assist you in finding inexpensive colocation in a datacenter if you want. We're getting ready to move http://www.s2ki.com and as a result have been doing the whole process again.
UBB and MySQL: all i have to say is that it's about damn time. That is one of my main complaints about it, aside from the fact that it isn't PHP driven. That is just personal bias though.
Whatever complaints I may have, they are a matter of personal preference. I appreciate the service that is provided and will happily help in whatever way that I can.</font></td></tr></table></td></tr></table></BLOCKQUOTE>
